I am taking a road trip to search out some new yarn. After looking at the websites for the yarns stoes I will be visiting, I am making a list. There are many beautiful, high end yarns that I am collecting patterns for. I am addicted to knitting socks and can't wait for some new sock yarns.
I will also be shopping for some yarn for a cardigan I found on Ravelry for a free download. I love the simplicity of the pattern. It will be fun to choose that yarn.
I will post more next week with pictures of the new fibers!

Episode 3: I broke up with the yarn
I have learned about myself that after I have completed a pattern I don't want to see it again. It's like a bad breakup. I have spent time loving that yarn and pattern. I have cursed it and turned away from it. So, I enjoy the journey but not the destination. Giving away my finished objects really fits my style. I am still holding out hope for socks. Maybe that will break my bad breakup habit.
On the hook: I haven't touched it. I am experiencing a case of monogamy knitting.
On the stix: I did wash and block the summer tee sweater. But I am still not loving it.
I have started another vanilla sock. I am using a beautiful blue/green Knit Picks sock yarn. It is just past the rib pattern. I have been unable to break away from my sock knitting. The love affair is still in the honeymoon period.
Waiting for empty needles: I still haven't decided on a shawl pattern. I have collected so many that I am making is harder to make a decision. I prowl Ravelry too often.
Sewing: lacking mojo again
Needlepoint: stuffed in the craft closet collecting cat hair
Finished Objects: This is a dragon washcloth I made for my daughter. It was quick and challenging pattern. It is free on Ravelry.

Episode 2: Finished Projects
My next finished project is my summer t shirt sweater. The body of the sweater was easy but it made up for it in the sleeves. I ripped more than once and still not satisfied. I was ready to complete it so I will live with it. Hopefully soem blocking will help with the overall look of the sleeves. On the stix: I have socks that I haven't touched in over a week. I did order some new circulars and I will switch out the needles when the new ones arrive. I am in love with Harmony Wood.
Waiting for empty needles: still haven't decided on the shawl pattern but several more have been added to my Ravelry account.
Sewing: I am happy to report that I am cut out my pattern! Aliright, that's as far as I have gotten.
Needlepoint: haven't touched it
Blog Goal: finish the cottage bag, complete 1 sock, blog check-in next week.

Episode 1: The String Meets The Stix
My passion right now is knitting. Last month it was crochet then sewing and a dash of needle point. I rotate through my passions with fervor. At any given time they are all number 1. Right now knitting is holding the lead.
On the hook: A beautiful, large crocheted bag done with 2 strands of ecru cotton yarn. It is almost completed but I need to work on it in short spirts because of the strain on my hands and wrists.
On the stix: 1 sock done with the magic circle. I find this to be much easier and way less frustrating that DPN'S.
Summer Sweater done in Knit Picks Comfy Sport yarn Honey Dew. This is a pleasure to knit. I am using Rainbow Needles and the yarn just slides easily on them. This is knit using circular needles and a switch to DPN'S for the sleeves. I am knitting the body now and finishing the sleeves will be last.
Waiting for empty needles: shawl that I haven't decided on the pattern
socks
Sewing: waiting for mojo to return
Needle point: same
Blog goal: to blog once a week
